چکیده
The fast development of the offshore energy industry becomes an essential component resilient economies in most countries around North Sea, addressing increasing demand for cost-efficient and environmentally safe sources. Offshore wind farms are planned to be installed further away from coasts ensure stronger more stable resources this region. Oil gas extraction infrastructures also move into deeper areas continental shelf slopes explore new fields. These ocean characterised by harsh environmental conditions: winds, larger waves strong slope currents, inducing considerably loads on structures. This study brings together operational physical oceanography mathematics fluid-structure interactions estimate likelihood extreme structures Sea. We use state-of-the-art Met Office high resolution forecasting system, which provides high-frequency data tidal wave heights periods winds at a ~7 km horizontal grid, spanning North–West European Shelf. Morison equation framework is used calculate various types that typically employed industries hourly 2-year period analyse spatio-temporal variability mean hydrodynamic derive relative contributions results indicate dominate forces shallow shelf, whereas current contribution important break English Channel.

Potential Impacts of Offshore Wind Farms on North Sea Stratification
Advances in offshore wind farm (OWF) technology have recently led to their construction in coastal waters that are deep enough to be seasonally stratified. As tidal currents move past the OWF foundation structures they generate a turbulent wake that will contribute to a mixing of the stratified water column. In this study we show that the mixing generated in this way may have a significant impa...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Ocean Currents Modeling along the Iranian Coastline of the Oman Sea and the Northern Indian Ocean
The Makran Coast (Iranian Coastline of the Oman Sea on the Northern Indian Ocean) plays an important role in country’s future navigation and trade due to its accessibility. In 2014, the Iranian Makran coastline was selected by the PMO to be studied as the Phase 6 in the series of Monitoring and Modelling Studies of Iranian Coasts with all disciplines being in investigated including currents. Al...
متن کاملThe study of effective stress and pore water pressures in the foundation of a concrete gravity platform affected by loads due to waves, currents and wind in the Persian Gulf
It is proposed to use a single base platform in the Persian Gulf considering its low depth and more appropriate environmental conditions in comparison to North Sea and Mexico Gulf where this kind of platform is very popular. The pile of platform is responsible for transmission of environmental loads resulted from waves, currents, wind and dead loads to foundation of platform. Using SACS 5.3 sof...
